Though she loved working in the medical field, Melanie felt she could not silence her passion for art and all things creative. After much consideration she realized the perfect marriage between medicine and art was Permanent Makeup. This is exactly where she knew she could apply her knack for catering to peoples' needs, her keen eye for harmony and her artistic abilities. When she's not in the studio, you can find Melanie spending time with her little mermaid Kai, traveling the world, or planning her next adventure. Ms. Margeaux has over 8 years of experience, is a registered nurse and a licensed instructor for the State DPOR Approved 200 Hr Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing Course. First of all, Melanie went out of her way to meet with me on Sunday. She does not open on the weekends. Bravo! Before I went in, I was both nervous and excited. Melanie helped put me at ease. She assured me that everything would work out. Initially, I went in for a consultation and decided to go ahead with the procedure. I have been penciling my eyebrows for years, and I ended up with crooked eyebrows. Melanie recreated my eyebrows to look even, and I feel confident. Melanie is very precise and detail-oriented. My eyebrows looked beautiful. Thank you, Melanie!

This was my second visit with Melanie, and I will continue to have my eyebrows done with her.  Melanie listens to you, but she will advise if she thinks a certain shape of eyebrow will enhance the natural shape of your face.  People that I have advised that my eyebrows are microblade, cannot believe it, Melanie uses hairstrokes that look natural, and she uses color to naturally match your hair. Melanie is definitely a people person, she is compassionate,  and as she is a Registered Nurse, she has an empathetic attitude, I lost my eyebrows due to illness, she understood how I felt. Last, but definitely not least, the cleanliness of her entire office is A plus, and the mood is relaxing, you can take a nap, I requested a blanket, that was all I needed, and it was nap time. I highly recommended Melanie, Nova Brows! 5 stars plus!

The Perfect Microblading Refresh!

Melanie is incredible! Her gentle, calm demeanor put me at ease immediately, and she was so careful during the procedure. She's extremely knowledgeable, explaining every step thoroughly - even though I've had microblading before, her detailed aftercare guidance was such a valuable refresher that I truly appreciated. (Her background as a nurse definitely shows in her meticulous care and cleanliness!)

After five years since my last session on the West Coast, finding the right artist on the East Coast was important. Melanie exceeded all my expectations - no wonder all her reviews are so glowing! Someone called this the "best investment," and I couldn't agree more. Her combination of artistic skill and professional care is truly special. I feel so fortunate to have found her!

I am so late to the brow party. I was hesitant and scared, but I was wrong to wait so long.  Melanie is a masterful brow and permanent makeup artist. Her name has been given to me several times over the last few years, and I am so mad that I took so long to go see her.  I cannot stop looking at my eyebrows. I’m obsessed with them. Two people have told me that they are the best brows they have ever seen… and my husband DID NOT NOTICE which means they look natural. Absolutely amazing!   I went in for a brow refresh after almost 1.5 yrs.  Just as the first experience, super clean business, relaxing and much needed girl time.   I can literally chat with her about anything, or just relax and fall asleep while getting them done.  They look amazing!  Consult was great to make sure the shape was perfect and executing the procedure was 98% painless and barely even noticeable.  I highly recommend Novabrows!

I loved how the course progressed. I started shadowing, I completed a practice manual, worked on latex skin, worked on pigs skin (closest to human skin) and did a model at the very end of it.

Melanie is a miracle worker!!! I originally got microblading done by a butcher! I looked like an angry emoji and was very upset. That’s when I did my research and found Melanie. She’s so good that she was able to fix the “ugly Betty” brows I had.

So now it’s time for a touch up a few years later and I went back to her and yet again, she did wonders! My eyebrows are on flick! I also did my eyelids and even that is perfect! I never got a tattoo before as I have always been afraid of needles but Melanie made sure I was comfortable. I am going back for my lips and I’m just excited for that! She’s great and I have recommended her to friends already. If you want beautiful permanent make up, Melanie is your girl! Also, she’s an RN and her clinic is CLEAN!! And that’s coming from an OCD like me! Lol

I had my initial session done at her Falls Church location, and just had my complimentary touch-up done at her brand new Stafford location— my eyebrows look amazing thanks to her! Melanie is professional yet personal— it feels as if she is your friend the first time you meet her! My sister and I both used her for our microblading, and are both beyond happy with our results. I can't recommend NOVAbrows enough! Melanie is professional and takes the time to make sure your eyebrows look perfect. She starts the session asking what shape you are looking for, takes the time to map and draw out and confirm the look is what you are looking for, and then gets to work! She uses a numbing cream so the entire process is painless (I swear you can't feel it AT ALL!)

It is tempting to search for a super cheap permanent brow place, but I have made that mistake in the past and it is always bad coloring, doesn't last, and is a rushed process. Invest in a good brow artist!

Melanie did such an amazing job! I had been wanting to get mucroblading for so long but knew it was an expensive process. It is 100% worth it. She was professional, the space was super clean and welcoming, and she took the time and listened to exactly what I want. They turned out looking so natural and perfect, I absolutely love them!

Melanie is truly an expert at what she does. I stumbled upon her Instagram page at random, and after seeing all of the before & after photos, I knew I had to get my brows done by her. I went to my first appointment about 4 weeks ago, and am ready to go for the touch up/perfecting session soon and can't wait.

Melanie is absolutely an incredible artist, trustworthy very professional and an amazing person. I found her while I was searching for an aesthetician to fix my brows.  After meeting her, I felt I can trust her with something I’ve been wanting for a very long time.  I love wearing eyeliner, but a few years ago I was diagnosed with sever dry eyes so wearing eyeliner became a real suffer for me.  I’ve been thinking of getting permanent eyeliner for a long time, but I was scared of the pain and I wasn’t sure if this would actually worsen my eyes situation rather than helping me.  Six weeks ago was the big day, I went to her clinic with my shield and sword lol, I was prepared for the worst pain, but OMG, I didn’t feel any pain whatsoever.  She was asking me almost every minute I was ok or was feeling any pain.  The procedure took about two hours and I really didn’t feel any pain. The next day, my eyelids were puffy and the corner of my eyes were dry.  Two days later, puffiness was gone and I saw how beautiful she drew the eyeliner.  I am so happy with the result and really can’t thank her enough for giving me a lifetime smile every time I look in the mirror and see my perfect eyeliner.

As an older woman my brows had thinned from the ends toward the middle and one brow became lower than the other. Melanie fixed both problems wonderfully. Getting my eyebrows microbladed was the best decision I have ever made! I was diagnosed with breast cancer and upon being told I would lose all my hair, including my brows, my first thought was that I needed to act quickly and get microblading prior to starting chemo. Melanie at NOVAbrows was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was totally understanding about my situation—when my oncologist initially said no to the procedure, Melanie canceled my appointment and very kindly refunded my deposit; then, when my drug regimen changed and microblading was approved, she was able to fit me back in. She was a delight to work with, extremely professional, and did a great job on my brows. It was nice having “glam brows” for a little while before losing every one of my eyebrow hairs. I’m so glad I didn’t even have to think about how I would look without eyebrows. It was a huge morale boost for me, especially not having hair on my head. I just had my brow perfecting session after finishing chemo and I’m thrilled with the final result. I can’t recommend Melanie enough, and I’ll definitely be returning for periodic touch-ups regardless of whether or not my brows return.

Melanie, the owner behind NOVAbrows, is a true artist! My eyebrows look fantastic and make me feel confident. I don't have to spend precious time in the morning to build up my brows and they look so natural!
Melanie makes you feel very comfortable  and explains every detail of what will happen during and after the procedure.
The procedure is not painful, just a little annoying, but any discomfort is well-worth the results! I am planning of making this procedure part of my annual must-do things. I will be going back to NOVAbrows fro sure, because I know I am in the best hands!

Melanie is a brow magician!!! My first time with her for microblading was June 2017. I just went back for my touch-up last night after 2 years! I took care of my brows like she directed and my brows stayed on for so long. You could still see the "hair strokes" at my touch-up appointment. She is a true professional. OMG where do I begin!  Firstly I love my new brows!  Melanie was amazing, she made me feel so comfortable, it was like getting my brows done by a friend.

Melanie is an artist.  She did a great job microblading my brows.  I went to her in September when I was just starting my chemo treatments.  I never had a great brow anyway, but was even more nervous knowing I would most likely lose all body hair.  My impression of the place was very positive. Her office is inside another medical office.  Her room is extremely clean and she takes all precautions with cleanliness and prep.  Of course, I'm always watching for that (I have no problem walking out if people are not cleaning equipment!) and she passed my test!

The brows she created have gotten me a ton of compliments over the past six months.  I actually look younger with a bit of a thicker brow than what I have naturally.  It's also a bit darker and that's fine, because I have blond hair and I had to always use a brow pencil.  I went back to her today post-chemo, for a touch-up and again excellent job.  She is very thorough.  Professional and a caring person in general.  Long review short, if you're worried about who to go to, just go to Melanie. You won't be disappointed.

Nova brows did an excellent job  fixing my uneven eyebrows.  Melanie's attention to detail is a step above. Her office was inviting and she was able to put me at ease within moments of entering it.  My brows turned out great and she even reached out to make sure I was pleased after healing.  Highly recommend Novabrows for giving you the brows you always wanted!!

I am so happy I made the decision to get microblading done with Melanie. She is so attentive, patient and makes sure to make that ideal brow dream come true. So in love with my eyebrows! I love that she drew in my brows to make sure I was in agreement with the shape she would tattoo on me. Plus, the added follow up to ensure I healed correctly and that my shading was even was a huge plus.
